This statewide geologic map, last printed in 1958, is now out of print. However, hard-copy plots of this map are available through this website, and are produced from a scanned image of this map. Plotting is done on medium-duty paper using an inkjet plotter, producing this map at its original published scale. Note that the colors on this map will fade somewhat over time due to the nature of the inkjet plotting process. To be used in conjunction with Bulletin 71: Explanatory Text for Geologic Map of North Carolina.
Compiled by William P. Saunders and Jasper L. Stuckey. Map size: 28"x65". Map scale 1:500,000. One inch equals approximately eight miles.
