

The geologic map for the Sams Gap quadrangle has been created as a general-purpose map that is applicable to land-related investigations in the earth, environmental and biological sciences. This map will include Whole Rock ICP Analysis of Selected Samples, Stream Sediment Heavy Mineral Analysis, a cross section and descriptions of map units. Covers part of Madison and a small portion of Yancey County in North Carolina, as well as part of Tennessee.
